December saw the introduction of the first ever cultured pearl with a 1.5mm wide computer chip embedded in it that can store pictures, audio and video. Equipped with near-field communication (NFC) technology, one can access the media files, by tapping the pearl against any smartphone.

Fantasy Bras from Victoria’s Secret

The show stoppers for the highly anticipated 2014 fashion show, were the two fantasy bras designed exclusively for Victoria’s Secret. Valued at $2 million each, both bras were set in 18k gold and featured 16,000 gemstones & diamonds. It took all of 1,380 hours to create these pieces with rubies, sapphires and diamonds.
