Celebrities shined bright in colorful gemstone jewelry at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night in California.
Emeralds, sapphires and more dazzled on the red carpet to complement the stunning gowns worn by the event’s guests, nominees and presenters.
“Only Murders in the Building” star Selena Gomez presented at the Emmy Awards wearing a beaded high-neck halter gown by Celine. She paired her gown with tassel diamond and emerald earrings and a ring that was paved with diamonds in white gold and platinum. She even had green nail polish on her fingers to complete the look. The 30-year-old presented the award for Best Variety Talk Series alongside her “Only Murders in the Building” costars Martin Short and Steve Martin. Although she did not receive a nomination of her own, her Hulu show earned a number of nods at this year’s Emmy Awards. It was nominated for comedy series, secured a handful of behind-the-scenes awards and acting awards for members of the cast.
“Morning Show” actress Reese Witherspoon, 46, was feeling blue at the Emmys — meaning her blue eyes matched her navy blue Armani Privé strapless gown and the stunning aquamarine necklace she wore. She gave a closeup look at the night’s jewelry on Instagram. The necklace was set in platinum with aquamarines, blue zircons and diamonds, and she paired it with diamond stud earrings, and a diamond and aquamarine ring weighing in at more than three carats. Her necklace alone featuring more than 160 carats of emerald-cut aquamarines, 49 carats of cushion-cut blue zircons and 84 diamonds accents weighing in at close to two carats.
Meanwhile “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” star Rachel Brosnahan paired her violent blue Pamella Roland gown, that was adorned with floral bow appliques, with a delicate diamond and sapphire necklace, and an 18-karat white gold and diamond ear cuff. She flaunted the look in an Instagram post following the event. The 32-year-old actress received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series — her fourth in the category — for her role as Miriam “Midge” Maisel in the Amazon Prime series. She previously won the outstanding lead actress in a comedy series award for her role in “Maisel” in 2018. Filming for the show’s fifth and final season is currently underway.
Also a nominee in the same category as Brosnahan but for her starring role in “The Flight Attendant,” actress Kaley Cuoco went with pink gemstone earrings jewels to compliment her pink and floral-detailed Dolce & Gabbana tulle high-low dress for the Emmy Awards. The bodice of the gown, which featured a plunging neckline, had tulle roses and carnations in different shades of pink that dipped down onto her skirt and back down the dress’s train. She wrote 22-carat morganite earrings accented with diamonds that were shaped like hummingbirds and also sported a giraffe-shaped ring with a 15.45-carat oval morganite, champagne diamonds, and white diamonds. The “Big Bang Theory” alum was clearly trying out the Barbiecore trend with the entire ensemble.
“Dreamiest bubblegum punk rock ballerina dress,” she captioned photos of the ensemble on Instagram, showing off the tutu miniskirt. The actress was nominated at the Emmys for portraying Cassie Bowden in “The Flight Attendant” while her boyfriend, Tom Pelphrey, received an Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series nomination for his role in the Netflix drama “Ozark.”
